The demo went well!! I'll be copying the content of our stuff over to sourceforge within the next week or so. I plan to furthuer develop on what we have in order to make it into a more stable product and one that handles multi-part MIME data. I'll send you guys all an e-mail when I set SourceForge up.

It was a pleasure working with all you guys. Having frequent meetings like we did for this class probably wasn't something that you guys were used to, but we all survived and with minimum friction. We all deserve a pat on our backs. Study hard and party hard!!! Those of you who are graduating this year, best wishes in your endeavors. Those of you, well.. Chris really.. hee hee, keep up the work and kick ass in all the gazillion degrees you're pursuing. :)

Have a great summer everybody!!

Just wanted to clarify a couple things to make this gloomy Pittsburgh day a
brighter one. :)

  1. Try and contact each other by various communication means and not just one

    1. phone (always good)

    2. zephyr/IM (pretty good, but there are cases with ghosts and what not...)

    3. e-mail (decent, but not the most reliable in case of short notice)

    4. blogger (not very good at all for contacting each other)

  2. Prototyping

  3. I strongly recommend prototyping before pair programming sessions. It's for your own benefit. You don't need to prototype trivial stuff that you think you can figure out quickly during a pair session. (It's ok even if that "trivial" stuff turns out to be not so "trivial", you've learned and you'll know better the next time). For things more involved, you might seriously consider spending a couple of hours just quickly trying stuff out. Python is really great for that. Once you have a prototype, you have stuff you can refer to during your pair session rather than trying to learn it then and there. I tend to believe religiously in prototyping just cuz I'm used to it. Try it out, it's always better late than never. ;)

Alright, I'll stop being a mom and get back to work. hee hee. ;)

May all your days get brighter~~~

Yours cordially,

slim, the sleep deprived procrastinator :'(
